I recently moved about 30 minutes out of the city so I’m genuinely curious how it is these days. Seems like people are burned out on dating apps is that true?

Hi I’m 25y/o male I got a job decent salary I’m not bad looking men not fat not skinny I’m sooooo average and normal it’s unique. But some how every girl i talk to and go out for couple dates they dump me, I treat them nicely but still get dumped is it because I’m looking for something serious with 21-24 y/o women? Is it because I treat them nicely? Because 2 of the girls I was in talking stage/dating went for so called bad boys, party drinks got nothing going on with their life’s.
Id like to know if anyone is experiencing this other then me and if I’m wrong

Question for folks who went from almost non existent or minimal dating life to a good dating life/eventually finding a partner
- How did you identify in the first place what was not working for you? For instance,
- If you were not getting any first dates, how did you find out why that is the case and how did you then increase the number of first dates.
- If first dates were not leading to second or further dates, why that was the case
- Once you identified what was not working, how did you end up making those changes and how those changes eventually helped?

Dating life?

Im 29 and I haven’t had a serious relationship 😭.Ive been single for all my life. Ive tried dating apps but most of the matches I get is people wanting to hook up 🫠 and I do get people who want to go on dates just end up asking wanting to hook up after the first date.
I had this one guy two years ago who pretended to date me for a year 🥴 just because he liked my best-friend.
We literally did everything together. We saw each other at-least 4-5 times a week. We slept in the same bed (we never did anything sexually) we kissed in front of our friend group held hands always sat with each other, txted everyday we were literally inseparable. One day we had a heart to heart conversation and he said that he liked my best-friend. I was so devastated. I cried and starved myself for a good month and I did bad things to my body. Till one day I was like f*k it I’m gonna tell him that I love him and if he declines I can move on. I confess and he goes “I’m sorry for whatever you think I did to you” he knew what he was doing 😪 I kinda shattered more. Like if our family thought we were dating and our friends did too then clearly I wasn’t the only one thinking it. It would’ve been fine if I was the only one thinking it.
I just wanna be loved 🥲

Genuinely curious because my dating life hasn’t been going well, and honestly, it feels like our generation isn’t really into dating or getting married. It seems like most people are just more focused on hookup culture than anything serious.

How was YOUR dating life through all of your 20s?

Hey all, I’ve been wanting to ask this question for awhile now since I’m a 21 M and just got out of a 5 yr relationship about 6 months ago. Backstory - We basically grew apart and I just fell out of love at the end of the day. It was extremely upsetting for the both of us but especially me since we were high school sweethearts and we loved each other to death. I wanted to be respectful about it and made sure that we could just have our 20s to explore OURSELVES and meet NEW people instead of getting trapped in a constant loop over and over.
Anyways, I was talking with my dad the other day and he said that if there was any point in time he could go back in life for women, it would be his 20s. He told me that these next 10 years are going to be the best of my life. So far it has actually gone really well. Meeting a lot of random girls, making out, hooking up, etc just for the hell of it without any consequences or intentions of tying a knot is a really good feeling for me right now. He did say to be smart and don’t let go of one that YOU think deep down has a good heart and can further the connection. He said it took him hundreds of people before he found the one but it could be different for me.
Just wanted to ask you all how the 20s were for you? Would you go back? What are some awesome memories? If you’re in your 20s right now, how’s it going for you??
